I have been waiting to document this wedding!  I couldn’t wait to work and spend the day with Brian and Lauren again.  I shot their engagement session last summer in Santa Monica and it was so much fun and I loved seeing how they are together.  Brian adores Lauren and he makes her laugh and Lauren feels so secure in his arms.

Brian & Lauren McDonnel’s Wedding at the Westlake Village Inn was STUNNING! The venue itself has so many areas and little pockets perfect for images.  I remember asking Brian why they choose this venue.  He said that he once lived across the street and always saw weddings taking place there.  I thought it was pretty cool and sweet that they chose their venue because of that.  I’m pretty sure he wished and secretly wanted that for himself too.

I love their story.  They have known each other since Jr. High (aka Middle School for the below 30 age range haha).  Brian asked Lauren to marry him…she said no and made him wait 17 years.  The groom got to marry the woman of his dreams and he said that he’s known since he was 14!

Lauren was so beautiful that day!  Her dress suited her perfectly. Brian with his navy blue tux and white shoes…..daper! My favorite moments during their wedding day was during the ceremony.  Lauren was emotional while Brian made her laugh.  The Best Man speech will definitely go down in history for me as the best speech I have ever heard. He made sure to involve all the guests and asked everyone to write something special to the bride and groom that they will open on their 1st year anniversary.

Lauren & Brian – THANK YOU!  I can’t thank you enough.  I loved every bit of your wedding….it was perfect…it gave me butterflies in my stomach.  I love you both together and I’m so happy you found each other.  I’m so grateful you chose me to document your wedding.  Can’t wait for little babies wearing Melin!!! I smell family pictures in your future!
